"The revitalization of this historic building is a benefit for the surrounding area and the community,” city assistant planner Casey Sparks said. “The commitment and work of the property owners, like Mr. Bodner, and the landmarks commission are a vital part of the community to assure our many historic structures are preserved.”
“I want people to experience Sandusky as it was 50 years ago, when there were a lot of bars and taverns that served food in a family-style atmosphere,” he said. “I want to bring that back. Sandusky has a strong German heritage, and there really aren’t any German establishments here.”
